Sorry to ask this as i dont usally look in this thread but..
Will the BBC 1 Idents launch from tonight..and every ident from tonight will be the xmas one ? Just I read one comment sayin BBC 1 Ident Only ??

Does this mean there will be one Ident tonight ... Or does it mean they WILL have the idents but not the snowflakes on the endcaps etc ?

There are normally different versions of each channel's Christmas symbol. The ones that are shown tonight are the ones that'll be shown until ... they stop showing them Smile

Thank you for your reassurance. That Dan is clearly a moron who thinks he knows more than he does.

The programme "Greatest Party Songs Ever" has been included in a "glittery" menu board. This surely indicates that P Goe is indeed correct. Dan, if you are wrong, you are so incredibly wonderful it wouldn't really matter!!!

An indication in a previous posting that emphasised "A: Christmas ident rather than "The" christmas ident.....is it possible that BBC1 will be repeating last years AND 2003's or are there merely slight variations to the main ident that will launch either at 5.30 or 6.30? Clarification will put an end to all this speculation and confusion!!!

6:30pm will put an end to all this speculation and confusion. Wink

But no, there'll be no reappearances for any symbols from previous years.

Makes sense to launch at 6.30! They can squeeze their first festive sting between the previous programme anmd strictly Come Dancing before launching into the ident. To show a sting straight after the news may seem slightly inappropriate....not that much is happening on the news today!!!

Thanks for the helpful reply.

That's OK, but you could hardly not have noticed ample references to '6:30' and 'Strictly Come Dancing' by then
