Can anyone elaborate as to what the new BBC Two Christmas ident will be this year?
And does the soundtrack of the new BBC One Christmas ident contain children singing the BBC One theme tune?

I'm interested in the audio of the BBC1 ident. Remind me again, you heard it on Radio Sheffield? I live in Sheffield, so I wonder If they will play it again. If they were singing to the BBC ONE theme tune then I'd say it's highly likely that that will be the audio for the ident.

5 Days, 20 hours and 7 minutes until the new BBC1 ident is revealed.
Think of the BBC One jingle - dah-dah-dah-daah-dah-dah-dah-dahh. Now, imagine it being sung by a choir - laa-laa-laaaa-laaa-la-laaah-la-laaaaa. Then they repeat themselves, but in a bit of a more minor key.

Got it?

No?

Ok, I guess you'll have to wait till next weekend Smile

Absolutely!!

Everybody is beautiful! (In their own way). HAPPY CHRISTMAS...ONE AND ALL. (Must stay off the extremely alcoholic mulled wine. Last year I went out wearing curtains.)

Hope it's worth the wait Joe. After all we've only been waiting since the last Christmas Ident for a new one!! How quickly Christmas comes around. Incidentally Joe, you are one of the few people who has never been insulting to me in this forum. For that cheers!! A very merry Christmas to you.

Thank you, and a merry Christmas to you as well Steve. I bet you're thrilled that the new ident is going to debut on your birthday. We'll find out soon whether or not it will be a nice present for you, fingers crossed!

Anyway, have a great day on Saturday Steve!

Looking forward to the new ident next week then.

I should imagine the announcement will be something like this:

"Only three acts remain - Don't forget to vote for your favourite in the Strictly Come Dancing grand final later here on BBC One..for now though a Merry Xmas from all of us here."

Bonus if Dean Lydiate is on duty.

Not "The One for Christmas"?

True. Must be something simple like "This is BBC One...the ONE for Christmas"

I thought I read somewhere that TWO's new festive ident has the familiar '2' take shape among stars (although I have no idea what background or look is being used). I'm not 100% sure though, as I haven't had absolute confirmation yet.

If anyone knows of any details re: the colour scheme for the background and the '2' respectively, it would be appreciated; I'm curious as to whether this one will detach itself from the plain yellow background; no Xmas ident in the set has done so yet.

Well call me a party pooper, but 17th December for the launch of a Christmas ident is far too early.

17th December is not Christmas, people still have a full week of work to go. Shouldn't air until Friday evening in my opinion.

Have ITV1 ran anything Christmassy at all yet??

Must admit that though I thought the new BBC Digital ad with all the heads was sickening, the Christmas version is rather nice.

Still hope the BBC don't launch their Christmas idents until - well, Christmas!

Also notice ITV programmings are now being sponsored by Rennie!
