Well first I'd get rid of "Christmas" from every show lol, and then I would also move Poirot to Boxing Day - you want light entertainment, comedy and soaps on Christmas Day. Also get rid of the repeats!
6.00am Breakfast
9.00 Robbie the Reindeer in The Legend of the Lost tribe
9.30 Keeping Up Appearances

- Always CBBC down to the religious bit - not a sit-com

Better to have the news and weather followed by an early 60 min edition of Eastenders instead of the film and give TOTP an extra 10 mins to the start time

Harry Potter is too early I think. This is likely to go in at around 5.30ish.

7.00 My Family
7.30 Outtake TV Christmas Special
Hmmm..Outtake TV has normally been on around 4-5.30pm in previous years, this slot is too late for a Christmas day showing. Also it's a weak programme to go up against the big cliffhanger-ish Corrie episode over on ITV1
Steviewizzywick posted:
8.00 Auf Wiedersehen pet Christmas Special
Nope - perfect pre/after Christmas Day show - good around 9pm on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day, but not here.

10.00 BBC News
10.10 The French and Saunders Christmas Special
10.45 FILM PREMIERE: Bend It Like Beckham
Correct time for News and F&S - But with a film such as BLB I think a film of this attraction (Britflick and all that) would be shown at a start time atleast 1-2 hours earlier.
Agree with you here. Must finish off Christmas Day with a Carry On.. Film - traditional.
Not bad Stevie, 8.5 out of 10.
Last year BBC1 had Breakfast until 9am while BBC2 showed the kids stuff. Apparently alot of people complained to the BBC previous to last year about the dominance of children's programmes and the excessive amount shown, so BBC1 for the first time attempted to cater for all. A move that proved popular so I suspect will be repeated this year.
With the point about Harry Potter, I did think originally that it may be too early and then I checked some old Radio Times and saw that films such as Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom has been on christmas afternoon so thought that Harry Potter may benefit in a late afternoon slot. Also, I don't think the BBC would want to waste such an expensive film by putting it up against the stonker corrie episode that we are all expecting.
Outtake TV is never geared up to be a big ratings winner. It is one of those semi-popular programmes that are made to fit the schedule rather than the schedule fit the show. So My Family and Outtake TV are good alternatives to an hour long Corrie. My Family was up against Emmerdale last year. I think that it is likely that Auf Wiedersehen Pet will be screened on Christmas Day as rarely do the BBC use such a big home made drama/comedy on Christmas Eve as they like to have dominance on Christmas day. AWP will get alot of viewers. I also don't think that it will be on Boxing Day as Match of the Day will be back this year so I suspect Boxing Day evening will look something like this:
5.30pm BBC Evening News
5.45 FILM PREMIERE: Toy Story 2
7.00 Eastenders
7.30 Casualty
8.20 The Big Impression at Christmas
9.00 Jonathan Creek
10.30 BBC News,weather
10.45 Match of the Day
12.15 FILM: Hot shots!
1.35 FILM: Steptoe and Son Ride Again
3.05 BBC News 24
I do agree with you though about Bend it Like Beckham being shown late. It is more likely to get a 9pm New Year's day slot. A film such as Meet the Parents may even be shown at 10.45pm. But thanx for the 8.5 out of 10 score! Can't believe we are discussing Christmas in these sultry temps. Only a matter of time until someone launches the "Official Christmas Ident Thread 2004". I promise you though, it wont be me!!!

OK, if you want the 8PM slot to get 2million viewers, putting the Vault'll do just that!!
Saying that, Mel'd probably work on Christmas Day, she'll do anything for money.
I think you should split Corrie into two episodes and add the Bill and/or Heartbeat to the schedule, as they are ITV gems and are very popular!

Yes I agree that Millionaire is past it but I think thats what ITV will put on.
A 1 hour Corrie on Christmas Day is a tradition.
I think Corrie do good 1 hour specials, when they are proper 1 hour specials, not 2 stuck together. I would prefer 1 hour rather than 2 eps, dont need a cliffhanger on Christmas Day, a lighter episode is always better.
