Actually it was very warm in the south-west today.

Back to the topic - why show a 2DTV repeat - surely a new one would be better - up to date with current affairs.

On Christmas Day?

Hmm.. I don't think the presenters would like the idea myself

Want to have a go at one?

Pre-Record would be the best - SM:tv did it last time round. Although the millenium new year show was live

Yeah yeah I know its very early.. but..

Here's my ITV1 one, post your one for a terrestrial channel of your choice. I think mine is pretty good actually....

Saturday - Christmas Day, ITV1

06.00 GMTV
09.25 FILM: Muppet Christmas Carol
11.00 Morning Service
11.40 News
12.00 CD:UK @ Christmas
13.30 FILM: Cats and Dogs
15.00 The Queen
15.15 FILM: Shrek
17.00 Creature Comforts Xmas
17.30 2DTV Christmas Special
18.00 Emmerdale
18.30 Heartbeat
19.30 Coronation Street
20.00 The Bill
21.00 Coronation Street Pt 2
21.35 FILM: The Matrix Reloaded
23.00 ITV Late News

Good schedule but I think ITV would schedule 1 hour of Corrie on Xmas Day rather than 2 separate episodes. They also normally have Who Wants to be A Millionaire on Christmas Day too

It must take months for them to plan a christmas schedule, they're most probably working on it now, or may have even done it.

I hope ITV goes to some effort again this year, last year was great as they didn't give in to the BBC, even if they didn't win, they've got to keep trying.

how about: ITV1 Christmas Day:

6am GMTV (6am GMTV LIttle Kids; 7am Diggin'It; 8:30 Up on the Roof)
9:25 Ministry of Mayhem (It may be pre recorded, but it is saturday)
11:45 Church Service
1pm cd:uk christmas special
2pm Perfect Moment (giving people who deserve perfect christmas presents)
3pm Queen : The Christmas Message
3:10pm Family Film (Hopefully not James Bond, something nice and festive please!)
4:45pm News; Weather
5pm You've Been Festively Framed
6pm Emmerdale
6:45 Coronation Street
7:45 Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway (it's still saturday, most prob pre recorded!)
9pm Who Want's to be a celebrity millionnaire giving it to charity
10pm 2DTV (xmas special)
10:30 Russian Roulette (Rhona Cameron's Quiz returns for a special)
11pm Late Movie

I'll have a go then, let's see, how could BBC One rival ITV1.

Saturday - Christmas Day, BBC One

13.40 The Queens Speech
13.50 The National Lottery Christmas Draw
17.20 The Big Impression Christmas Special 2003 (repeat)
21.00 BBC News Update
Hope you think it's good!

Rolling Eyes In order
1 - As mentioned before, the Queens speech goes in at 3pm.
2 - The one off Christmas and normal Saturday evening lottery draws this year will be drawn on Christmas Eve (Fri)
3 - Not even the BBC would dare put a repeat smack in the middle of the Christmas evening schedule.
4 - The main evening news would not be 5 mins long.

Apart from that..

2.00 Top of the Pops Christmas Special
3.00 The Queen
3.10 Dear Father Christmas

7.00 My Family
7.30 Outtake TV Christmas Special
8.00 Auf Wiedersehen pet Christmas Special
9.30 EastEnders
10.00 BBC News
10.10 The French and Saunders Christmas Special

Stop - Always CBBC down to the religious bit - not a sit-com

Better to have the news and weather followed by an early 60 min edition of Eastenders instead of the film and give TOTP an extra 10 mins to the start time

Harry Potter is too early I think. This is likely to go in at around 5.30ish.

Hmmm..Outtake TV has normally been on around 4-5.30pm in previous years, this slot is too late for a Christmas day showing. Also it's a weak programme to go up against the big cliffhanger-ish Corrie episode over on ITV1
Steviewizzywick posted:

Nope - perfect pre/after Christmas Day show - good around 9pm on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day, but not here.

Only 30 mins long..?

Correct time for News and F&S - But with a film such as BLB I think a film of this attraction (Britflick and all that) would be shown at a start time atleast 1-2 hours earlier.

Agree with you here. Must finish off Christmas Day with a Carry On.. Film - traditional.

Not bad Stevie, 8.5 out of 10.
