Very good point. It may even lead to coca-cola appearing in their stores.
The last time I went there, they were already selling it - have they stopped?
I don’t think Aldi would be sued by Coke. Literally anyone watching that commercial would start thinking about Coca Cola, so in a way it’s just advertising that product just as well.

I'm not sure about the UK, but in the United States, parody is considered "fair use" when it comes to copyright; I presume something similar exists in the UK.
Having seen this on TV for the first time tonight I agree, it is brilliant and I have thought for years why no other company has used the truck device, but I do wonder if this could get them into trouble with Coca-Cola for being so close to the original.

Coca Cola seem happy enough, in public at least. It's building hype for their truck tour too

True but threatening to sue would create a bit of publicity for both too.
Still way too early for Christmas ads though.

It is, but Aldi had to get theirs out before Coca Cola did or the gag wouldn't have worked.

I think that as soon as Halloween is over, it's Christmas. I think I'm only, but oh well.

It’s all in the eye of the beholder.
I personally think I’d be sick of Christmas by Christmas if I started celebrating in November. I have some neighbours who will start to put up decorations in the next week or so. November is possibly the busiest time for buying gifts for Christmas so it’s understandable that clothes stores and manufacturers want to get their adverts out earlier, as for supermarkets surely it’s December that’s bigger for them with food and parties.

There should be a law against putting decorations up in November.
