lol i agree - the xmas idents are payback for having to put up with the stupid carlton name - oh how jealous the northerners must be lol.
Heh... no I'm not jealous of Carlton. Anyway when I flicked over to Westcountry around 5.20 they had the usual stuff on.
No, the only regions I'm truly jealous of are Channel and especially UTV -- these are companies that are still operating in the true ITV spirit. And UTV's christmas ident/trailers have managed to use the ITV1 graphics and implement them a lot better than network centre.
Why should I be jealous of Carlton? They're just more ordinary English ITV companies with no regionality left... and come the new year doubtless Carlton will fall into line and you'll be left with a generic name *and* generic idents... what a horrible thought

I wonder if well get the 2000 new years idents again (they used them for 2001, even though they still have 2000 (the 0's were hearts) in them.

its a shame there arent xmassy break bumpers and coming next slides
all Carlton have done is update the previous two years idents on the cheap
maybe they will put all this extra money that they havent spent on this xmas into the new carlton weathers?
