You can watch a very *very* tiny news clip from the BBC shown at the time:

Aww..... I'm getting nostalgic for RealMedia!

I've been watching the new 'snow globe' Coca Cola advert on TV today... albeit on a Greek channel (I think it's only the UK who is replaying the 'Holidays are coming' for a month first).

I've seen two shortened versions of the advert and one showing of the full one minute advert.

In Greece, they've added the slogan 'Ας απολαύσουμε τη μαγεία των Χριστουγέννων' (Let's enjoy the magic of Christmas) before cutting to 'open hapiness'.

I feel all Christmassy now!!!

(Edit - the Greek didn't show correctly when I posted. To fix this: right click -> select encoding -> Greek ... that's assuming you care about seeing the Greek letters! Smile )

I prefer the Filipino version where it goes 'believe again...'

No, somebody has called for it to be consigned to the dustbin. That's quite different.

I've just seen ad for (I think) Waitrose, which included a QR code at the end - has anyone else seen it? I'm curious to know how many people they think can whip out their phones and scan the code in the few seconds it's on screen...

People have PVRs nowadays. People can pause the advert and read the code that way. I wonder if there is also some thought by the agency of people seeing the barcode while fast forwarding through the adverts and going back to that one to check the code.

The emoticon was there for a reason.

Pot Noddle have made what seems to be a parody of the Coke ad.

The Pot Noodle ad is genius.

A well-needed counterpoint to that insipid Coke rubbish.
