The Coke one is a worthy successor to the 90s one, much better than that pile of depressing drivel we've had the last few years (although the Irish version of that was much better).

This one from Guinness is a favourite of mine. I don't know if it's still shown, nor if it's ever aired outside of Ireland, but I think it proves a worthy competitor over the Coca Cola trucks...

It's been shown in RoI and NI every Christmas since 2006, and I agree, it's a beautiful, evocative mini-film that encapsulates Ireland and Christmas.

Like the Coke advert, Ibet it is the short Holidays one with the kid ringing the bell, the big question is what is John Lewis and M&S doing this year? Laughing

The John Lewis advert premieres on Saturday night and will feature a cover of Elton John's song "Your Song".

I've seen a few Christmas adverts over the last couple of days. I saw ones for TK Maxx (first one in 3 years I believe), Sky Digital (with the blue monster family), M&S (with Peter Kay), Tesco (with Amanda Holden), Asda, Morrisons (as with the previous years they use the festive version of the Take That song Shine) and loads more. I bet the Co Operative food advert will use that Gabriella Cilmi Warm this Winter song like they have done throughout the year (albeit with the singing). I wonder if the old favourites like the Hellmans mayonaise one, the Toys R Us one they did last year and the famous grouse will make a reappearance this year?

I've seen a Co-Operative advert, and yes they are using the same song, along with the "# weeks to Christmas", like last year.

Just found this on YouTube:

Could it be this year's Coca Cola advert?

Everyone in it sounds British to me?

That's been used in some other countries for some time. Such as this Austrian version

Click here for the new Coca Cola Christmas Commercial

Coca Cola will launch a new global (in over 90 countries) featuring a new song by 'Train'.

In the UK, the 'Holidays Are Coming' commercial will play for a month from 12th November followed by the new commercial above from 13th December. Also fairy-lit Coca Cola trucks will tour the UK for five weeks from 11th November offering samples and entertainment with a Christmas choir and brass band.

I don't know about you but I'm liking the new ad.

Nobody has used 'Santa Claus' or 'Christmastime' in normal conversation since the end of National Service. Wink

'It's Christmastime, there's no need to be afraid'
'Santa Claus is coming to town'

Anyway, no-one's used the word 'Daybreak' for decades either but that didn't stop it being used! Laughing

This ad has been on Greek TV the past couple of years over the Christmas period without being dubbed or anything changed into Greek (unlike the Austrian version where text and audio was in German).

According to the Coca Cola release, the trucks (Holidays Are Coming) should launch tomorrow for a month before the new Snow Globe ad starts playing in December.

I have to admit, the music from the new ad has grown on me - I'm quite liking it now.
