Christmas Ads

So we're being bombarded with adverts for Christmas now. I see the Woolworths ads have a different style this year, after about 4 or 5 years of the horizontal bars.

It wont be Christmas though until I hear the infamous Toys http://www.aoqy44.dsl.pipex.com/toys%20r%20us.jpg Us theme.

Now what were those words again? "There's millions said Geoffery..."

Horizontal bars ? Not sure I know what you mean. The Woolworths ads were awful last year, didn't they have that Dennis Pennis guy doing them, what's his real name ?

It's probably worth mentioning that bid-up.tv are meant to be having a christmassy set from Monday.

I also like that one with all the Coca Cola trucks that have all the lights on too. Do they ever show that anymore because I didn't see it last Christmas?

The Geoffrey advert! I hope it comes back! It always reminds me of watching the Simpsons on unencrypted Sky One. Next time you see it take a look and see if it reminds you of the Simpsons!

I also love the Christmas Coca Cola advert with the lights and the lorries. *hums* holidays are coming... holidays are coming... holidays are coming... always coca cooolllla... la la la la la, la la la la la, la la la la 'tis the season, it's always the real thing...

The Tesco Christmas ads this year are going to be good - I think you'll like them. My Dad was on the production team.

That Cheistmas Coca-Cola ad ought to be in the Bad Ads thread. It as crap as the product it advertises!

All I'll say is you know it's Christmas on the TV when they play the Christmas Coca Cola ad. To me that's like the beginning of Christmas. I'm sure last year they started showing it quite early on in November I think.

Anyhoo from the "fab" world of McDonalds I can say that you will be seeing some fancy big ad campaign this year. Last year I don't think they did anything but this year I think they are. One of their new posters regarding some new menu additions has the words "In the build up to our big Christmas we're launching the new Big Tasty" (New menu item)

Do you think McDonalds are running out of names for products? rofl

I don't remember the Woolworths adverts being like that last year. They had a big W in them as I recall.
