Just thinking about the Coca Cola trucks, ask anyone and you'd think they've played that advert every single year for about two decades, but am I right in thinking that the one brought out every year was only first aired as recently as 1997? I don't think it was on at all from about 1999 to five or so years ago when it got brought back, certainly around the early-mid noughties they were doing different campaigns.
It dates from the "Always Coca-Cola" (1993-2000) era at any rate, the jingle is a re-arranged version of the jingle that launched that slogan. In fact it is only in the last few years that they have cut the final line which is of course, "Always Coca-Cola". Strange that it harks back to a long forgotten campaign, but there you go.
EDIT: 1995, according to this: http://www.coca-cola.co.uk/about-us/heritage/christmas/coca-cola-christmas-trucks-by-numbers.html
