Well presumably they've only done that for cheesy homophones such as the one in the ad. Aldi hasn't succumbed to the people saying OL-di - that's much more of a distinction.

Lidl has run TV ads for years. I remember one about 10 years ago which was embarrasingly tacky, complete with brash 3D graphics.

Are the coca cola trucks still popular in the US, and other countries, or is it just for us?

If they are, wouldn't it make sense to do a new version of their trucks rather than a totally different advert?
