Yes, I remember when they changed it to something like "Always the best...Coca Cola Enjoy" in 2001instead of the usual "Always Coca Cola" campaign which they brought back in 2002.
Originally this advert was first broadcast in Germany would you believe. I did find a website a few years ago with the adverts from all the years on - but it no longer exists. *goes into anorak mode*

I think there was a bit of that in last year's advert. There was the gold bits flying everywhere then an animated Father Christmas did something and then there was the trucks at the end with CocaCola forming above them.Maybe the animated one ran till 96 or something then maybe in 1997 or 98 or something the trucks started appearing.
And there was the different music for a year then the mix of adverts with new footage mixed in last year.

Actually, that animated one is only about four years old. It's been used concurrently with the trucks one.

Well there were two new (to me) Christmas adverts during the ITV Lunchtime News today...(on Granada)
The first being for Morrisons, which basically features Santa Claus dressed in a huge brown jacket going round Morrisons buying Carrots, whilst he gets given dodgy looks from kids. Then he feeds it to the Reindeer which are sat between some Morrisons lorries, and then flies away over the top of Morrisons, with the usual Sean Bean voiceover and the jingle.
And then Toys R Us which appears to be using a slower more Christmassy version of the old them tune, but still the new style advert. But nice to see it anyway.

Apart from voiceovers, I've noticed there hasn't been much celebrity input with the ads this year. With the exception of Kerry Katona and Jamie Oliver who didn't flee the Christmas promotions.

If its the trucks one on the 1st December I shall officially be dusting off my baubles.
I think the ads have mellowed this year. There hasn't been many celebrities appearing (costs too much?) and no 'in your face' ads like the Argos one. Therefore the build up does feel less Christmassy but we have had a long summer.

It has to be the Coke one for me. The full "Holidays Are Coming" song is great - or Wonderful Dream to give it its official title by Melanie Thornton.
