Never said there wasnt. But personally its too early for me to think about Christmas. And why are people moaning about this hot weather - not just on here but generally.


Because hot weather and me don't mix. I end up very sweaty, in need of numerous showers, become the target of several flies, spiders and other creepy crawlies, and when I tried tanning I got blisters on my shoulder, and I didn't really want a tan anyway, my parents wanted me in the sun.

There should be a new series: Grumpy Young Men, especially for the 18-25 group who have plenty to moan about! Grumpy Young Women to follow... Wink

Hmm can't say I've watched Loose Women, but from what I have heard about it, doesn't seem my cup of tea, especially if Loose Men were to be just a male version with semi-famous men dressed in smart casual clothes that Paul McKenna wears, sitting at a BBC News desk and talking about current affairs.

No, Grumpy Old Men, with its semi-famous men dressed casually, sitting regularly and talking about anything and everything is more my thing!

Jez, it may not have occurred to you that a huge number of people feel very ill in the extreme heat. I like pleasant sunny days that are completed by a fresh summer breeze. But we don't get days like that anymore. When you get up and shower before putting fresh clothes on for work and asx soon as you step outside the clothes stick to you like glue. Then you feel itchy. You sweat, you spend the wholke day showering yourself with anti-perspirant in case you smell, you get a headache, your legs ache, you get sore in the groin area and walk like you've pooped yourself, your headache gets worse, your clothes are very hot, you are very hot, the heat is building still and you can't sleep because the night is so hot. Your headache comes backe because you're tired. You have seven showers in one day and still it's hot!!!

That's why people are moaning about the EXTREME heat. Not pleasant sunny days.

betty Swollocks are a nightmare! You scratch them at the pedestrian crossing and women stare at you as if you're a pervert! The first thing I do when I get in is strip to my boxer shorts and stay that way all night!

AND I'M STILL BLOODY HOT!!!!!

Well of course I realise that people get ill, have headaches and feel sick in this weather. Three years ago in really hot weather like this I passed out and ended up on a drip in hospital because I was dehydrated. But that was completely my own fault not the weather.

I guess some of us can cope with the heat better than others, as long as I drink plenty of cold drinks, I really like this hot weather.

Also, I tend to get bored more during the summer than winter, because at Christmas there's more to do and more people to see. And there's no risk of sticking to someone when you touch them. If you think of yourself in a traffic jam on a hot summer's day, when kids are restless, parents are close to rage, seatbelts are too hot to touch and cars are moving, you might change your mind. And yes, that's more or less without air conditioning!
