See for me personally, it spoils christmas for me putting decos up ect in Summer time. I dont mind talking about Xmas like we are doing here. This year for me personally has gone so quickly.

They certainly do! They get less holidays during term time and at Easter/Halloween/Christmas etc than the rest of the UK do. Its even better if you go to uni, I get 4 and a half months off for the summer!

Going slightly OT, I was out at our local Chicago Rock Cafe last night and they're already taking Christmas Party bookings, the adverts were all over the show. I had to book ours last year and you have to do it early for the best day, but not that early.

Haven't we strayed way off topic here. Personally I think this thread should be locked until mid-September at least.

What? Less than five months left as of midnight. Very Happy

It's ridiculous... I thought Christmas started December, silly me Rolling Eyes Laughing These days Easter starts straight after Christmas too Shocked

Indeed, Easter Eggs are on sale on Boxing Day!

Its far too early to even think of Christmas, especially during this lovely hot weather!

So why is there 4 pages worth of posts then!

It's actually an urban myth that Christmas gets earlier every year, it starts pretty much when the Back to School/Summer Garden furniture ranges get taken down at the start of Septmeber, and even then it's only minor until the Halloween/Bonfire Night ranges go at the start of November. The myth is mainly caused by people talking about Christmas in July

Never said there wasnt. But personally its too early for me to think about Christmas. And why are people moaning about this hot weather - not just on here but generally.

Took pics of MTV Select studio from outside on sunday but most was covered, has anyone read the planning permission on the street level to convert the bottom level?

Because hot weather and me don't mix. I end up very sweaty, in need of numerous showers, become the target of several flies, spiders and other creepy crawlies, and when I tried tanning I got blisters on my shoulder, and I didn't really want a tan anyway, my parents wanted me in the sun.

There should be a new series: Grumpy Young Men, especially for the 18-25 group who have plenty to moan about! Grumpy Young Women to follow... Wink
