Would people please be reminded that the annual end of year festival we're once again rapidly approaching towards is
called Christmas, not Xmas. Kindly stop making the festive season sound like an unpleasant itchy skin complaint!

Kindly stop influencing us all with your traditionalist claptrap. I'm an atheist, and the notion of a Christ saviour is an affront to me. If I want to call it Xmas I will. It saves typing time Smile

so Eid shouldn't be called Eid and same goes for Diwali????

Oh BTW I am a very non-practising Roman Catholic and still prefer this season to be Christmas rather than Xmas, Season Holiday's, Winterfest etc... This is a Christian country, which is open to other religions, so Christmas is the main festival and it does seem to be getting more marginalised than the minority festivals.

Just saw the Hellman's Mayonnaise advert earlier - still the same after all these years! Now all we need is the Yellow Pages advert and Christmas will be complete methinks!

I am the same (non practising catholic) and CHRISTmas isnt Christmas until I come home from Midnight Mass. I like the whole buildup of Christmas related programmes, music, adverts etc, but Midnight Mass makes it for me.
