Yet these adverts have helped M&S a great deal, whereas the 'I'm Normal' advertisements did not. Simple.

Wonder what happened to M&S's "I'm Normal" schtick - with these tiny models they're hardly aiming at the Size 14+ market r they?

the company's image was not helped by the disastrously unpopular "I'm normal" advertising campaign, which showed a British woman of average size and weight running naked up a hill.

I wonder how much M&S have paid Miss Bassey to sing in their Christmas campaign - that said, its a brilliant advert although I prefered last year's "the show must go on".
The Argos one with the father reaching for the Christmas wish star is lovely. Maybe they should have replaced him for Father Christmas if people are complaining.
My sister asked me for a Christmas CD to play in her car this morning! I said it was too early but she was having none of it.

Appparently it was £40,000. She also had to be the star of the advert.

Ooh lucky you, last year Warrington had Kerry Katona and Barney the Purple Dinosaur, how blessed were we?
I can see the same happening this year, we had it better in the 90's when one year we had some of the Gladiators and a couple of people from Brookside switching them on.

We normally have someone who's starring in the local xmas pantomime (Canterbury, Kent). Normally every year it is somebody from Neighbours - last year it was Ryan Maloney who plays Toadie. 2003 we had Toyah Willcox and 2004 .... it was local comedian and celebrity favourite, Dave Lee... ok well.
In fact I think Ben Nicholas (Stingray) might have been with Amanda this year.
