Boxing Day in the 90s was great in our house - noone here watched soaps but whenever my grandparents came over we'd be treated to half an hour or more of Corrie. Gripping stuff. Especially given the volume at which it was watched meant that no matter where in the house (or indeed the village) you hid, you were still subjected to the exciting escapades...

lets put it this way Christmas Day is soo bad on any channel that in the last couple of years its been a couple of dvd's in the morning (after opening prezzies), and then Top Of The Pops and then that's it - except for Dr Who last year. In other words - VERY VERY POOR!!! NO celebrity charity gameshows (ala All Star Family Fortunes but for Christmas/New Year only) and no real decent films - they seem to be kept for Boxing Day and New Years Day nowadays

my perfect schedule for Christmas Day would be.....

ITV1/GMTV
0600 GMTV - CITV
0925 CITV
1030 Christmas Morning Mass
1130 CD:UK Review of the Year
1230 ITV News Update

Who would want an ITV News update on Christmas day? Only John Suchet I would expect.

No doubt Angus will return yet again this year for Before They Were Famous 500. Although thats normally on at New Year isn't it.

If that's right then they should be out on Tuesday 12th December (or even sooner!)

When is it the papers usually print the annual "To be announced" 12 days of Christmas listings - mid to late November?
