Hmm I saw that cover picture in the current issue of WOT. I actually half expected Pauline Fowler as I understand she is being killed off (not that id ever watch that crap of course). I expect TV Choice and TV Easy will also go with EE.
TV Times also have their Christmas cover in the current issue on sale (week ending 22nd Dec) and its a festive cover with santa like the Radio TImes. I think all TV Guides should have a festive issue for the Christmas Double so as not to be biased towards 1 programme.

None of the Christmas TV guides were available in Cardiff today. They had both the 9th-15th and 16th-22nd issues on sale. It makes sense to wait until Tuesday anyway as the 9th-15th issue will be taken away by then, otherwise they would have 3 different issues on sale (covering 4 weeks of listings) at one time.
It does say 'on sale 12th December or even sooner' on most of them, which means they go on sale on the 12th with London getting them earlier! TV Quick does for some reason tend to come out earlier than the others, I remember a few years ago they went on sale on the Monday and everyone else on the Tuesday.

For the first time in years, ITV1 seem to be joining in with Spirit of Christmas. Feature filoms on ITV1 on Christmas Eve Are:
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (animation),
Turner and Hooch,
Uncle Buck
and the movie premiere of Van Helsing up against Casualty and Calendar Girls.
Christmas Day has Alice in Wonderland, The Grinch and Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. The only programme on Christmas Day other than soaps and movies is Doc Martin which is up against the death of Pauline episode of EastEnders and brand new Vicar of Dibley.
Incidentally, BBC1's Christmas Eve afternoon film is the premiere of Santa Clause 2 and Christmas Day has Monsters Inc up against ITV's Potter movie.
