On Christmas Day;
6.30pm Eastenders
7.00pm Doctor Who
8.00pm Easteneders

This is partly why I criticised Michael Grade's tenure as BBC1 controller recently. It was he, who by scheduling an explosive edition of EastEnders on Christmas Day 1986, planted the seeds for soaps to dominate the one day of the year they should be rested.

But if we have to have them, perhaps they should follow Crossroads' example from 1979 - of a happy day without incident (not sure about Nolly bursting into song though...)

I prefer a lighter, happier episode on Christmas Day - that is why I enjoyed last years Corrie far more than 2004.

Bet nothing comes of this. There are usually contingency plans. They make loads of money on the Christmas Radio Times so as most of it has been published already, a slight delay in distribution is the worst thing that could happen.

You mean London might not get it this Saturday, and will have to be like the rest of the country and wait until next Tuesday, oh i don't know what we will do.

Well last year Morrisons had the Christmas music on the air in the last week of November, although this year we haven't heard a single thing, despite the fact the Christmas Adverts have been running since early November. In fact even one of them has a piece of music from a BBC2 Start Up from Christmas Eve 1991, it was available on TV Ark, but the piece is rather jolly.

Christmas double issue cover looks a lot better than last year.

David Tennant looks hot on the other cover! Apparently the 16th-22nd Dec issue goes on sale tommorow?
