The Queens message used the producer of the morning news a few days ago can't remember her name
I think as well that last year it was also produced by ITN, so whether they are doing it permanently for BBC and ITN, or whether next year will be a BBC production

Something tells me it's now 3 years on, 3 years off.

Not a clue what the person above means but...

Is anyone Else puzzled about the ratings for the soaps? Since December the top 3 have found it hard to even get 9 million and the shares also dipping to mid 45%

Maybe it's a case of BBC do the Queen's Speech for three years and then ITV do it for three years. An the ratings leading upto Christmas have been very weird, they've never dipped like this before. They were higher in the previous couple of weeks.

Given the choice of channels to watch it makes sense that numbers are getting lower for the main networks.
Reckon it might be something to do with an outfit called SKY!

I think it's down to them being on too often. My family and friends have, in the past couple of years, gone from being avid Corrie watchers to, "catching it if and when I do because it's always on and it's not hard to catch up"; soaps have become wallpaper rather than "must see" television. I no longer set the video for Corrie, if I think I've missed something I'll try to catch the omnibus - or ask Jez what happened Laughing
So if my folks are anything to go by, we didn't watch Corrie on Christmas day, and we certainly did not put Eastenders on at 9pm - we put a comedy DVD on instead of watching misery.

Im like that with Emmerdale now. I watched it Christmas Day for the first time in ages, mainly because its my mum's fave soap and she had it on and it was quite good, also watched it one other night this week and I was bored out of my head with the stupid King family so didnt bother last night.

Corrie is the only soap I make a point of watching every single episode. When I go on holiday I get someone to tape it for me, unless im back for the Sunday omnibus. If I know im going to be out I will set the video as well. I try and catch the others I watch when they are on or watch the repeat but wouldnt be that bothered if I missed an episode.
