Here are the top 10 for Chrismas day 2005 (Feel Free to post any outside the top 10)

The BBC has topped the Christmas Day TV ratings with EastEnders being the most watched show, just ahead of Doctor Who.

EastEnders attracted a peak audience of 11m, compared to 9.8m for Doctor Who. Around 9.8m also tuned in for ITV1's top-rated show, Coronation Street.

The Two Ronnies (9.4m) and family film Shrek (7.6m), both on BBC One, were the fourth and fifth most-watched shows.

Overall, fewer people watched Christmas Day TV than last year, when EastEnders attracted more than 12m viewers.

The top 10:
1 EastEnders 10.1 million (BBC1)
2 Dr Who 9.4 million (BBC1)
3 Coronation Street 9.4 million (ITV1)
4 Two Ronnies Christmas Sketchbook 7.9 million (BBC1)
5 Shrek 6.7 million (BBC1)
6 Emmerdale 6.6 million (ITV1)
7 Toy Story 6.5 million (BBC1)
8 Celebrity Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? 6.3 million (ITV1)
9 The Queen 6.2 million (BBC1)*
10 BBC News 6.50pm 6.2 million (BBC1)

I watched The Queen on ITV1 and noticed that it had an ITN Production slate - what was broadcast at the end of it on BBC 1?

Yes the ITN Production slide was shown on BBC1. ITN and the BBC tend to take turns in producing the 'Queen's Annual Message to the Commonwealth', up until 1997 it was only the BBC who made it, so it was the only BBC 'show' regularly on ITV once a year. Laughing

19. ITV News - 2.73 million (16.9%)
20. The Santa Clause - 2.67 million (29.8%)

A lot of those ratings are very low, with ratings half what they'd get if they were shown on any other Sunday

For example, the dramatic Emmerdale where the villagers resuced Belle from a disused mine, only got 6 million viewers. Plus comedy drama The Booze Cruise 2, ended up with only 4 million due to it being opposite EastEnders, yet usually you'd expect up to 8 million for a drama of this nature.

Green Green Grass only got 4.5 million as well whereas Millionaire didn't do that bad afterall, even against Doctor Who!

Personally I don't care one bit about ratings, its just an excuse to change advert fee figures.

It doesn't surprise me that figures were generally lower. For the first time ever my family ignored the TV this year as we all agreed there was nothing on worth watching - or that we'd not seen before. I wanted to watch Dr Who but it was impossible with all the other stuff going on, so I will watch the repeat.

The figures are lower, but it's important to look at the share of the audience (%) which tells the bigger picture, and shows that the big networks are still dominating, even if less people are watching.
