According to this article at BBC News Online, ITV have signed up Chris Evans to host a new live Sunday night talk
show for ITV1 with the working title "Oh No, It's Sunday!",which will apparently involve being "joined by special
guests to discuss the 'weird and wonderful highlights of the week gone by'. So, make of that what you will.
Quote:

Evans, who split from his wife, Doctor Who star Billie Piper, last year, said the ITV
show would confirm "the nuttiness of Planet Earth and the people who live in it".

Sounds to me like a cross between his old show "TFI Friday", and "The Bigger Picture with Graham Norton"

So let's contrast and compare . . . T.F.I. Friday - Channel 4 - 1996-2000 . . . O.N.I. Sunday - ITV1 - 2005-?

And if he's going to be producing the show with his UMTV production company, I wonder how weeks it'll
last before it ends up going exactly the same way as his other UMTV produced shows, and gets axed?

His weekly Radio 2 show starts tomorrow (Saturday, 17th Sep) at 2.00pm as well.
I suppose it will all depend on what time ITV1 decide to schedule his new TV show. If it goes out after the South Bank Show around 11pm then it doesn't stand much chance.

Might not be destined for late night though. Maybe they'll give it an early evening slot like TFI Friday had.

I can't picture a show like TFI Friday on ITV.

As much as I dislike Chris Evans, I'd prefer ITV to show him 6 times a week instead of Emmerdale.

Where's that picture of Chris running his fruit and veg stall as seen at the end of Terry & Gaby when you need it?

I doubt he'll be given anything other then a late night slot. Not on a Sunday. Although "Oh No It's Sunday" sounds more like an early morning weekend kids show. It's an incredibly naff name for a hip and happening show don't you think? Rolling Eyes

Chris Evans needs to stop trying to surf on the back of the success of his past glories and move on. In one way or another he's tried reviving every one of his hit shows now. 'The Big Breakfast' was in 'Terry & Gabby' - it failed. 'TFI Friday' was in 'Live With..Chris Moyles' - it failed. 'Don't Forget Your Toothbrush' was in Boy's & Girls - it failed. Now we're getting another carnation of TFI again..but this time with him! The odds are stacked against it really - it will fail.

I say go away Chris, and when /if you come up with a bold, fresh new idea for a TV show, come back. But until then you're still an annoying ginger t*at. Twisted Evil

He just doesn't know where to fit in now he's returned to the limelight. He acts like a naughty schoolboy who can't get into nightclubs. Rolling Eyes

TFI was god and should be left well alone - if it is similar then its bound to be ruined and its sometimes best to let sleeping dogs lie. Not a huge fan of Evans but he was okay on Radio 1 breakfast.

I heard him yesterday afternoon on Radio 2 between 2 and 5 I think that his old magic is still there. This is certainly a "fresh" show for Radio 2 with Chris coming up with different ideas.
