Will he be wanting tuesdays to thursdays off though?

I think this is really good news, I've heard him on Radio 2 a few times and I thought he was excellent - a lot more mature than people probably imagine him being. As always though, Chris Evans is a love-him-or-hate-him guy, I personally think he's brilliant but I can see a lot of regular listeners not being too happy.
Good luck to him though.
Good luck to him though.

Dermot O'Leary, Steve Wright, Stuart Maconie, Jonathan Woss, Jeremy Vine and now Chris Evans!
All the more reason not to listen to Radio Beano anymore.
Sorry that his has bugger all to do with TV, unless you count listening to Chris Evans is an incentive to watch something on the box.
Thank Grud for the night.
ooo Me Goblins!

Why did you call it "Radio Beano"?

Steve Wright is great though. When he arrived at Radio 2 ten years ago he helped to turn the station around from being a "granny" channel to the most popular in the country IMO.

Why did you call it "Radio Beano"?
Because of all the Billy Whizz one finds on the toilet cisterns?

Steve Wright is brilliant and easily tops Wogan in terms of a warm relation to the British public. In my view.

Is there any information on why Walker's moving to Sundays only?
I trust it's not health again.
Can't stand Evans. I guess it'll be Wireless Four and PM for me from April.

Apparently he's been wanting a 'less intensive' workload for a year or so. Basicallly yes it is health connected

I'm the opposite, I really rate Evans - although he'll never be as good as he was on GLR, which was pre-Big Breakfast.. The problem for me is that there is too much good stuff on in the afternoons these days - I don't get to listen to the radio much in the afternoons but have the choice of Colin & Edith. Scott Mills, Steve Wright, Iain Lee, Richard Bacon or Danny Baker and now Chris Evans as well. So many decent, entertaining presenters all on at the same time

Plus the fantastic Tommy Boyd at Southern Counties is moving to afternoons - which used to be his gig on Talk Radio in the good old days
