It's difficult to understand why BBC Choice and Knowledge weren't called BBC's Three and Four in the first place.

BBC Choice has always had that BBC Three feel about it anyway.

Why did the BBC have to go all through all this nonsense of government approval in the first place to rename their 2 stations.

I have heard of BBC ONE and TWO rebranding next year because of Knowledge and Choice probably becoming BBC THREE & FOUR, I hope BBC ONE & TWO are not rebranded as no doubt their logos will be replaced and I can't see how they can follow the success of the balloon and the big 2's which have been going since 1991 and have been a great sucess with many viewers including myself.

Not wishing to get on at you BBC912, but we've chatted about the changes for a while now and the only evidence of a rebrand was Lorraine [what can I do worse than Joy of txt] Heggesy saying the balloons were slow, and 3 and 4 appearing. (I made a mock a while ago for BBC 3 which I thought was very nice - its in the mock forum.)
