Nice to see behind the scenes in NC2 with Phillip Schofield as part of that, and plenty of globes etc.

I think that was footage of when he moved to the BBC2 presentation control suite because of the Chancellor's budget or something...

Ah Run The Risk had totally forgotten about that show, aah wonderful memories.

Oh and you clearly have all these shows stored in the archives and a whole CBBC channel to fill......... doesn't take a genius.

Well who knows, maybe the result of this TV on Trial may result in some classic CBBC shows being shown from the archives on the CBBC channel.

Well, we can but hope.

Pah. (Love that word). Do you really think so?

Honestly? No.

But I know they repeated early 1990s Grange Hill a few years back.

I remember the start of the 90s and Sunday Mornings on CBBC2 meant reruns of the classic childrens programming like showing the very start of Grange Hill. I think they brought back Johnny Briggs and Simon and the Witch. There was another show, can't remember the exact title but I think it was called The Box Of Delights which showed programmes and possibly music of the time.

I do remember that, and great it was. However, the way CBBC is today, I don't think we'll see stuff like that happening again.

I don't want to go on a retro fest but I feel that the programming I had growing up during my kiddy/teens years 1983-1993 period had so much varied programmes. It was during that time that the die hard programmes that went on for years were coming to a close such as Playschool, See Saw programmes, Crackerjack etc so my period was sort of a transitional period from the past to what we get now were companies don't really want to take risks or pump the money in.

I was a child of the Playbus (later Playdays) era. Floella Benjamin was still heavily involved back then.

Yep - clearly NC2, the BBC2 continuity suite, given the ==2== symbol that Phillip demonstrated. The dinner jacket on "high brow" BBC2 was a running joke of Phillip's.

Interesting that the Temporary Fault caption came from a button on the desk labelled Clock/Camera, which implies it came from the NODD device, which is surprising that such a simple caption was still produced that way when the symbol was computer generated.
