On the subject of opts. I wonder what region will be shown on BBC HD. London? London in HD?

Did the BBC Scotland CA direct viewers to BBC HD?

The BBC Wales announcer certainly did - despite the fact that there are lengthy Welsh opt-outs tonight (including a "newsreaders do Strictly" type thing that's been trailed extensively on Wales Today all week).

Great stuff so far, I liked the Alesha Dixon song at the start, and the Peter Kay song on now. Great video to accompany it featuring kids TV characters of when I was little (e.g. Paddington Bear, The Wombles) through to present day CBeebies favourites Teletubbies, Flowertots and the blue character from In The Night Garden. Just one thing in the video missing, Pete Hillier and the Boogie Bunch. Well done with your masterpiece Peter Kay. Wink

If only RND 09 back in March had featured more of thjis stuff, instead of the unwatchable dross such as Harry Hill's TV Burp, the England footballers with their boring trash (boring as watching paint dry) and Victorian Dragons Den.

That was a good video. It was good that they got the original/current voices. I heard the only person they couldn't track down was the original voice of Stoppit and Tidyup. Shame.

I wonder if Scotland's opts will get an outing on the HD channel - theoretically they shouldn't use the London opts as they'll be SD as they're from the London regional operation; but the BBC Scotland opts could be done in HD as Pacific Quay is HD capable..

This suggests there should be some Scotish content (Catch me if you Can) at 19:45...

Scotland do their own thing for most of the night though don't they? If so the opts won't match

NI have already opted out, but the EPG reckons Scotland and Wales are opting at 7.45. Not sure when the opts will be in England.

South East Today have updated Face Book to say 7:43 for their first opt.
