Yeah I wach BBC CiN from the ROI, via the BBC NI feed. It used to be a broadcast I'd look forward too, well in fact anything live these days is worth a watch. But the production from BBC NI, is well, not up to par. In the lead up to the main event, we're teased as to whats going to happen on the live show, then when we tune we, we don't get it, because all we get is a local production. The set is usually much smaller, they do link into the main network broadcast at times, but when reading out the total, it's only the NI total. Over the past few years when Kelly on UTV went head to head, they would sometimes link up. Was good to see that across the channels. Aww well, I'm sure this year will be the very same again, 7pm...CiN startes and opens immediately with the local feed......
Yeah it did. But the studio will be used (i presume) again when the saturday show returns in 2004. But I dont know whether they will be doing the show from London, with it only being on for half of the year, or whether it will be from Glasgow again. I'm not sure how long the deal for summer presentation in Scotland lasts.
It would be nice if they could maybe do a saturday show christmas special even though Dick & Dom is on.
Back to Children in Need. Does anyone know about the studio this year? They used to have a different studio each year, then for the past 3 years they've used the same one with that light bulb effect. Does anyone know if they are bringing this one back (Again!) or have they a new one?
Didn't they also get rid of a sofa from the studio a couple of years ago?
And how come Comic Relief have a different studio each two years?
Yeah the sofa area worked well i think. One year they had a girl who won a prize to be a presenter for the night and she was only there for about 2 hours.
I also remeber in the North West they had "Pudsey's House" on for a few years.

Oh yes, I remember Heather Stott (what's happened to her BTW?!) in the Pudsey house!! It was good when they gave a few minutes every now and then to the regions - much better than these 'reports' we get nowadays, and the rest from London.
Plus it also meant a bit of fun from your local news team, and less musical acts. That's all it seems to be nowadays, guests from musicals, soap stars doing an act, the films that they show and terry & gaby in the audience.
