Probably, though the line-up for I'm a Celeb this year is so bad, they should have clashed this time.
Does it have anything to do with Strictly coming from Blackpool? I was wondering if the two shared studios at some point (still do?) and therefore CiN had to be the week that Strictly came from Blackpool.
It does seem to air a week earlier now than it used too - has it been conciously bought forward to avoid clashing with I'm a Celeb?

I just noticed, the network never went into the audience to pick up checks etc, or asked what people did to raise money. I think that needs to be brought back.

It was enjoyable. An excellent way of showing the 'best' of the network content with what BBC Scotland couldn't show in their 4 minute slots on Friday.
There was a performance with various BBC Scotland people such as Jackie Bird., Judith Bird and the actress from CBeebies's Nina and the Neutrons as part of a supergroup called Nae Direction.

I would highly recommend to anyone to to look in on the BBC Scotland CiN Special from this evening.

Maybe Glasgow should drop The one show and have 30mins of live action from Glasgow instead on the Friday.

That went when they redesigned the set about 3 years ago. I think the view has been taken that it was increasingly feeling naff, and made from great television. I think CiN felt that they needed to move with the times a little bit.

Gosh sounds like I missed a thrilling show.
Genuinely had no idea it was on last night, I thought it was on next week. Actually felt like there was more buzz around Stand Up To Cancer than CIN.
Didn't get that at all. I had no idea Stand Up To Cancer was happening and completely missed it. Saw / heard loads of Children in Need trails on BBC One and coverage on The One Show, Radio 2 etc.

Now for some clips of what people have been doing around the country to raise money for CIN. Some people have had fun whilst they've been at it, e.g. pouring water over others.

Yep - but far fewer people watch C4 than BBC One (by a factor of about 3:1) and the only stuff I watch is via catch-up to avoid the junctions...
I'd be more aware of promotion online or in print press than on C4 itself I suspect.
