Oh for the good old days of Children In Need with decent regional bits from the Midlands at Pebble Mill - this year we are reduced to a fenced off area around a Christmas Tree from the Merry Hill Shopping Centre - with dreadful Ashley Blake - cringewrothy!
I've tuned to BBC1 Wales - the sight of Gethin Jones in his tight jeans has made my night! - 'Nos Da'.
We've got Ranvir and Tony from NWT at some snowdome-type place.
Oh, the excitement...
They're at the artificial ski slope near the Trafford Centre in Manchester.
Really enjoyed the Strictly Come Dancing bit - Terry was so funny. Got to agree, though, Tess is particularly bad. Fearne's alright but I think Gaby Roslin was better. I'm only watching this for Terry and the newsreaders.
Despite the financial crisis, Children In Need is doing extremely well this year, if not better. To my knowledge the best total was in 1991, with over £21 Million Pounds raised on the night.
If it doesn't slow down, could we see the best Total ever on the programme? I certainly hope so.
As someone else said, good to hear the mid 90s version of the CIN theme tune back again, always preferred that to the other ones especially the "we are the children" one!

Yep, it's a great theme and the revamped version is great.
The moment you're all waiting for - BBC News meets ABBA.
The costumes are quite unflattering and for once do not provide that much fetish fuel, but the girls are outstanding and Hollins is an idiot as usual. And getting his oar in post-performance.
