The new astons are nice, and nice to have a live shot of TV centre rather than the somewhat tired/blurry BT tower clip (gather there are a few bands playing in the courtyard this year).

Kerplunk and Cotton - oh god..! I wouldn't mind but its all smilie smilie falsie falsie with them.

Anyway, here's to another 7-hour marathon - all by the end of the night Terry won't know what he's doing Laughing and Kerplunk and Cotton will be nowhere to be seen....hopefully.

Nice to see them using the 'donut' for more audience participation.

Its all for charity...who cares! Get pledging!

I love the way Terry uses phrases like 'Concrete Donut' on a night like this when 99% of the audience hasn't got a clue what he is going on about.

So Moyles is out in the car park then! Girls Aloud must have turned up late as the direction on that song wasn't good. Lots of mis-timed camera work. Moyles also doesn't seem to know whether to talk to the crowd or try and find a camera.

And Fearne's certainly keeping herself busy, I guess that's why they moved the live Make me a Supermodel show to last night.

Nice use of the building though - it's a pretty striking landmark, and I think the Beeb always secretly like trying to show it off. Nothing like a good old fashioned OB.

I really wish they would just seemlessly read the phone number out and not make a big fuss about it everytime as if it's difficult

"Now what we want you to do is read the number out, we're asking everyone to read it tonight, can you see it, go on..."

"Great, Well done" when they've read 11 numbers out!

what is it with presenters standing up, doesn't the licence fee stretch to seating on sets

Chris already telling the crowd about HD ("Have you got HD, luv? Really, you don't look like you could afford it..." Laughing ) and how the posh guy from London news is going to do the local links for London.

He's trying the jokes though but they're falling flat with the crowd.
