Tumble doesn't seem to be here, so...
*ahem*

Greggs have raised £1,013,844 for Children in Need. Well done Greggs.

To any of you Star Wars fans on here? Does anyone here have any room left in their house to bid for that landspeeder?

I certainly don't but I will not envy the person who will bid for it.

Summing up what I have watched tonight...'Cheap Mess', but because its for charity and children no one is allowed to criticise it. The charity deserve better.

Deserves better!? They’ve raised millions - possibly breaking records!

I say we all chip in and put it outside Asa's house as a TVF momento.

Compared to 10 years ago it feels like the balance of entertainment vs fundraising VT's has shifted towards the later.

I think the problem is that outside of Strictly, the BBC’s entertainment slate, both in terms of programming and presenters is quite weak, so they don’t have much to call upon.

So you end up with Sam & Mark doing a CIN version of the remake of Crackerjack, which most viewers won’t even be aware is happening, as a main highlight.

It's a good little show though I've only caught one episode this summer - think they used it as filler rather than gave it a full repeat run.

Sadly though the telethon itself is pretty poor nowadays, and not just through missing Wogan. They might as well just repeat the same one year after year. Rylan's Ka-Ry-Oke on Radio 2 was good fun though to drop in and out of, and raised £900k. I'm assuming that'll be Radio 2's main contribution now Chris Evans has moved on - didn't he do a Car Rally and certainly some kind of auction, and I'm not sure if Zoe Ball is continuing with the latter.

Hi

Mr Evans is still doing Carfest North and South even though he is now at Virgin, but now instead of all the profits going to children in need its a 50 - 50 split between CIN and Other children's charity's. Tickets go on sale next Wednesday I believe both on Zoe's R2 Breakfast and on Chris's new Virgin Show

And ITV still seemingly don't allow the cast of their soaps to appear unlike 15 years ago despite no longer producing text Santa.
Not even a Call the Midwife contribution this year - that been a regular the last few years.
