Pudsey Bear has this morning resigned as CIN mascot in order to concentrate on his new career in politics and is expected to take up a recently vacated cabinet position.
A little tone deaf to brag about an elaborate set of a charity fundraiser.
To be fair, they had ridiculously OTT sets in the past. I'm sure I'm not imagining one late 80s/early 90s one where they'd constructed a canal between two of TVC's studios, am I?
Wasn't that while TC1 was closed (asbestos removal?) so they used two studios to get the amount of space they needed?
Would that mean using TC3 and TC4 as they are side by side each other and were nearly the same size each? I thought it was always just aired from TC1, and when TC1 was closed until 1991 for refurbishment they used TC8?
I think they had phone answerers etc in the other studio and had the canal boat thegeek mentions as a device for easing the transition between the two studios

Not really in my opinion. The set is important to make people watch (and therefore donate), so I don't see why they shouldn't brag if they have built an impressive set for the show.
