For a brief moment, I thought I'd been caught out by some sort of NTV prank in the middle of that song and my premature boredom had been broadcast all over the country. Then I realised they'd simply cut to the dog.

The white text on yellow graphics are quite hard to read. They should have done white on red as per previous years.

I'm putting £5 on Peter Kay using his Car Share bit to plug his new tour.

There we go - and a plug for new Car Share episodes followed by a mention of the tour.

Will CiN get money every time this clip of them in the audience is used in future Peter Kay clip shows?

Peter kay lied then? He said there would be no third series OR xmas special...

Peer pressure or money, I imagine.

I think its it was more peer pressure since everyone kept moaning at him.

So already this evening we had two sneak peaks a song and dance routine that looks like its been recycled from a few years back and one local opt out for 5mins... At least there went into the audience this year that been somewhere missing...

This is neither, it's a 2018 series finale.

Far more likely it was the plan all along. The last episode would hardly have had Twitter up in arms as it did if everyone knew another episode would be along.

No, just tens of millions of pounds being raised to help children around the country. Same old, same old.

"public demand" apparently. Personally I thought the 2nd series was awful. I didn't think the 1st series was anything special either though.

We the public will happily give over the money even if the content is poor.
