I'm only going to be turning over to it when The Weakest Link comes on. I'm hoping Anne rips into the 'Z' listers that are appearing on it...

The nations still have stuff from there areas: it just there appear inthe highlights package on Sunday, While the England get the "best bits"

The other all have programmes which are more 50/50 ( expect Scotland 60/40 of new local stuff:)

Network:
14.30 Escape to the Country
15.00 songs of praise
15.35 CIN best bits
16.50 Blue Planet

Other Nations
14.30 Escape to the Country
15.15 Songs of praise
15.50 Blue Planet
16.50 CIN best bits

I've never seen Escape to the Country. I assume that it has a format that easily lends itself to having 30-minute and 45-minute edits?

Do the network & nations' schedules re-converge at 17:50? If so, then the nations' CiN highlights are 15 minutes shorter than network's! It'd be interesting to see what they miss out compared to the network version (or how more padded-out the network version is, depending on your opinion!)

Do the nations each have their own version of the highlights, incorporating some stuff from their respective local opts? Or does their shorter compilation still only feature stuff taken from the network show?

She's still a presenter on Songs of Praise isn't she, or has she left?

I don't know why people in this thread have been complaining - there's been plenty of missed cues, walking the wrong way, looking at the wrong camera, pointing at the wrong screen, and it's all been taken in the presenters' strides and is mildly amusing.

Also, using the regional opts to show how money is spent closer to home is a productive use of the slot for fundraising.

And to those looking for affordable charity auction items, you should've looked at BBC radio stations Orkney and Shetland, who were raising money by offering up stuff like sacks of potatoes, boxes of fish, wool and coach trips (not mocking this by the way, it's making for funny local radio, but that's exactly where this belongs).

I've been watching the Look North opts, with its rather bad audio errors and I am kind of glad I have not been crewed, plus there is a lot of stress with my tutor at University of Bradford anyway.

I assume they've borrowed the Uni's scanner again?

No, just tens of millions of pounds being raised to help children around the country. Same old, same old.

We the public will happily give over the money even if the content is poor.

Yes. You don't have to watch the telethon to donate. I doubt the corporate sponsors are watching, except for their advertorial segments where we see staff from Sainsbury's and A N Other Stores hamming it up for the cameras.

Probably. I don't often say much about what we do right here on the best forum to say about this, but I think we always do, except for last year when BBC asked Bradford College for their studio instead. They never asked me since the 2015 telethon, not even election specials or Brexit.

West Midlands opts were presented by Ayo Akinwolere, Becky Wood and Richie Anderson.

Looked like it was done on a budget with gaffer taped cables visible across the floor.

Sainsbury's is Comic Relief. ASDA was featured.
