I've long given up watching CiN live, but usually tape it and skim through it and must say from what I skipped through it did seem a bit fresher this year. Obviously still everyone plugging their Christmas albums, but I didn't think the pop performances seemed quite as dominant this year, and the same with various groups of presenters / actors coming together to perform on stage too - indeed the only one I recall seeing (but skipping through completely) Is the usual guff from the newsreaders.
