Somehow I can see it still being very lazy, and filled with to much Musical act

Let's hope we have better Regional Coverage this year, especially in the North-West.

Could be interesting to see what happens on the regional opts on BBC1 HD, whether we'll get upscaled London or a slide or something else.

That is likely to become annoying quite quickly, having to keep swapping from one version of BBC One to the other
every half hour or so, especially if they only put up a holding slide. We've established why the holding slide is there
for the regional news on the BBC One HD thread ... doing that repeatedly during the CIN broadcast is laziness.

Danielle Nagler has confirmed to me in a Tweet that HD will show London.

Would expect London to fill the whole as the regional opts will be handled by TC1 rather than Pres. The other option would be to do what they did in the days before English regions were on DSat (and DTT) which was to ask one region (different for each opt) not to opt-out each hour and to use them as the network feed. However that can be tricky for BBC London (who would have to opt-out for SD) - particularly if they're still temporarily at Millbank.

No surprise but they have a new set this year (obviously for HD!)

Interesting of note is that it seems that they are using mostly higher level seating (I think those black covers are actually covering the balconies used on Strictly.) They also seem to be using the far end too, rather than the side of the Studio - first time I think they've ever used it in this way. Suppose the balconies mean they can not bother with the standard studio seating.

Although it was shown on BBC HD last year, was it not?

Wouldn't they just show the applicable regional split (West, South West, South, Wales etc) as straight SD material on BBC1 HD?

We are getting LONDON. As per Danielle Nagler's tweet. There is NO regionality on BBC ONE HD TT.
