Incidentally, Pudsey has started popping up on the four BBC channels' main pres, most notably in the ECP - he'll peek out from behind the credits box and into the menu box, wave and then disappear back behind the 'wall'.

What's the odds he'll appear on the ident come November 16th?

He already has.

BBC One are 'hiding' Pudsey in some of their idents for 'effect' and will appear more as time goes on. If you have a look at the ident before tonights 'Spooks' you could see Pudsey's reflection in the 'eye' of the robot.

He will be making a full appearance on the night of CiN.

I HATE THAT NEW PUDSEY![shoots]

Its odd that you can see the cartoon Pudsey in the background and he looks 'normal' but this bear looks more browned off.

It was the year that if people didn't cough up enough money, they threatened to burn Pudsey.

I wonder how much viewers in BBC Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will see of the main network programme from London this year?

I live in Northern Ireland and up until last year I had to make do with the BBC Northern Ireland version loaded with tonnes of local presenters doing daft things and we missed out on a lot of stuff from London. We saw some of the network material but usually three hours later.

Thankfully I have Sky now and I watch the network broadcast on BBC1 London. I see Scotland has a lot of opt-outs this year.

Why do Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland do this as the rest of the English regions just have hourly 5 minute round-ups without interupting the proper network schedule. Comic Relief doesnt do it whi CIN?

Just a shame we miss out on a lot. Only if you have the regions on Sky then your lucky.

Bloody hell - no references whatsoever to CIN in last night's Holby City (unless in the first ten minutes which I missed)...

Yep you did missit. To be fair they have drastically reduced all the CIN promotion but there were still bits at the beginning. Rolling Eyes

Nothing at all in Casualty last Saturday.

It's obvious that all these people moaning about their lengthy local opt outs really don't know what they're missing out on - otherwise they wouldn't be moaning.

I'd much rather see more from the general public discussing and showing how they've been raising money than yet another singer plugging another single!

I seem to remember we had a lot of microphone sound probs from the South East opt out last year, hoping they've improved on that.
