The first time I've seen the new pudsey on BBC1, it looks rather like Pooh bear!
I'm not that keen on it! What was wrong with the old one?

WHY?

By all means modernise the logo, but Pudsey's iconic.

Remember that Pudsey used to look simply like a stuffed teddy bear (something that wouldn't be out of place on the Antiques Roadshow ) with no modification but the polka-dot eye patch. There was no stylisation at all.

True, that was in the 1980s, but I see no reason why Pudsey can't be redrawn.

That's an imposter - a man in the suit! Someone's kidnapped Pudsey Bear!

(Why can't they do the same with Wogan!)

Am I only one that thinks that the Fonebak thing is a rip off as far as Children in Need is concerned?

£5 will be donated to BBC Children in Need for every reusable mobile phone received.

Places like CEX or Envirofone will give you more than £5 for any fairly modern phone.

If you have an old phone, sell it at one of the above. You can then give all the money to Children in Need. Why are the BBC linking themselves and their charity to Fonebak?

The new Pudsey looks better in 3D as a suit, than it does in 2D

RIP Pudsey - 1985-2007

The new "Winnie the Pooh bear" is cool though!

There's going to be a short Doctor Who "skit" on this years CIN, in which the current (10th) Doctor meets up with the 5th Doctor (Peter Davison).

Given the "middle age spread" factor, Davison has clearly had to have his costume remade, rather than the slender original coming out of mothballs. Compare and contrast: then and now.

Bit harsh on Davison, as he's been playing the 'gone to seed' King Arthur in Spamalot.

As in - he stinks? Wink

I'll be avoiding Casualty/Holby/Doctors etc. that week because of the inevitable in-story plugs.
