I think that they're doing quite a good job this year, they could do with a few more specials, but it's better than it has been.

The studio doesn't look that small, and it's the same set as last year, is it not with more weird circlular screens?
As also are the pudsey's/graphics with a different font, and a touch up with the eye patch, face and buttons changed/removed.
I'd have thought that they would have designed all of the animations around the new 2D design, the 3D is like a cross between the old and new, even the costumes have managed to transfer the 2D design into 3D better.

I quite like the update, it makes a nice change.
I can understand them not wanting to change the studio every year as they have no money as a budget really.

The totals are a bit of a con anyway. Most of the money comes from the big corporate donations that they already know about and announce across the evening to keep topping up the total. I do wonder how much actually comes in on the phones

Is it just me or are most of the cheque presentation handovers tonight, and in the past few years, nothing more than opportunities for free adverts for the companies and corporations involved (or, from a cynical perspective - trying to convince us all that they are ethical, good-standing businesses?)

Nice one with Royal Mail just now.

It makes me angry actually, all these stupid supermarkets having massive logos on their cheques. Like they actually care about what they are donating money for...
