The Spice Girls.. what a joke, as if they all actually wanted to reunite, they were all pushed and are now demanding lots of money just to get on with eachother. But thats another story.

Anyway, CIN as "atmospheric" as ever, old Tel..slower than ever Fearne Cotton..false as ever and.. no Kaplinsky, blessing! At least Myleene has real personality.

Looks like we have Ms Feraday (surprise surprise, Ceri still off on maternity leave) and those twins from Big Brother live from Ebbsfleet station in the Kent/Sussex region.

The Spice Girls were live from LA - they have had problems with the sat feed all day.

The only problem so far for me is were the Spice Girls miming? It seemed that way to me.

Oh, a friend of mine in the States has just said that the Spice Girls performing the single 'Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)' was also broadcast live on three different news channels!

Good to see the BBC promoting CiN outside of the UK this year too.

At Nice Cote d'Azur Airport in the South of France yesterday they had a huge billboard saying 'BBC Children in Need Appeal 2007 - Donate Now! +44.84.57.33.22.33 or online at bbc.co.uk/pudsey" with a huge picture of the new Pudsey Bear.

BBC North West are at Blackpool's North Pier and some of the sound quality is awful. Already on BBC One (Network) we've had problems with sound, most notably Lee Mead when he sand 'Any Dream Will Do/Give Me My Coloured Coat'. Oops. Didn't happen in rehersals!!!

The Spice Girls' single was a bit rubbish, but Doctor Who was great, the Holby City performance was fantastic, and I love the musical package they're using this time round.

A small piece of trivia is that Simon Montague, just interviewed as part of a rather blatant plug for Eurostar, is now Eurostar's director of communications, having formerly been transport correspondent for South East Today.

This X Factor bit is all very awkward. And it doesn't really help that there are more microphone problems.
