Cringeworthy stuff on BBC Midlands then... newsreaders in live panto reading from (and often failing to read from) the script and looking like complete idiots...

or am I just grumpy?

It's like watching the aftermath of a car crash. It's an absolute disaster, you know you shouldn't, but for some reason you can't take your eyes off it.

BBC Scotland are now introducing London packages and not explaining that they've been recorded elsewhere - looks very odd when we suddenly get transported to a much bigger studio.

Well surprise surprise (there's no Cilla 'ere..) the previous opt-out down to South East Today land in Brighton didn't go as planned. They cut to the newsroom in Kent with a nervous Rob Smith preparing for the regional news bulletin.

Anyway, aside from that...the usual goings on as pretty much last years show then Rolling Eyes Same graphics.

Oh, and I won't moan about the artist formally known as Jordan......yet...

Little Mo covering for Dot - another continuity problem! Laughing

Is the Scotland opt-out all night? At the moment, they are showing recorded footage from the national feed.

On BBC Wales they opted out around 19:25 and we still haven't returned to London to see Westlife!!

That's a BAD thing? Four Irish walkers (with one letter replaced) rehash "Danny Boy" and claim it touches the mood of the nation? More like it touches the purses of the thousands of little girls who skipped school in the lunch hour to buy the single. Never seen such a blatantly sickening and in my view insulting and offensive advert.

Sorry - rant over - back to the nauseating guilt complex vids of kids let down by society on the other 364 days of the year.....

And my condolences go to continuity announcers throughout the nations, and everyone else in charge of making sure this programme stays on the air.

(If anyone at BBC Scotland's listening, could they manufacture a 'technical fault' please?) Twisted Evil

We've crashed into London just in time for.... the 10pm news. Well that's just slightly pointless.
