well if it's a recording surely they could do it at TVC and email the MP3 down to Red Bee Towers?

I don't think that's what they'll do.

Own up - who's entered?!

Really not interested in CiN at all this year. It's been going downhill for years, but replacing Gaby with Kaplinsky is not the way to go! Watching Wogan and her on the Eurovision thing was cringeworthy at best!

Also, as a side note but do you think it might be an idea to bring Children in Need forward a month or so. At the moment it's scheduled around the same time as the Poppy appeal and just after Blue Peter launch their annual appeal (this year collecting old/foreign coins & mobiles for Childline). Also, when I was at school we always used to have a training day on the day of CiN, so the school never really bothered.

Ah you can always rely on bringing Buerk out of semi-retirement for a good old knees up Wink

I will not be watching this year. 3 years in a row, now with stupid newsreaders dancing. It was good at first, a bit lazy 2nd time round, but now its just pathetic.

They'd be better going back to the old 10minute appeal like the early days if we get more trash. Its just a waste of BBC scheduling otherwise.

No doubt there'll be some technical hitches like always.

oh come on, watching the regions screw up their opts is part of the fun Wink

Anyone know if Leeds and Hull are going seperate ways this year or a joint effort?

Yes, the primary aim of CIN is not to bore you. Rolling Eyes

It's been raising more money each year it's been on air, and I'm sure this year will break another record. Over £30m for one night of BBC One boredom (some bits are always good!).

I think we'll survive.

Indeed, have you noticed these newsreader CiN jobs are always with presenters that are hardly on TV thesedays, such as Buerk and Bowen. Obviously most of the current lot turn it down
