Natasha has been particularly patronising tonight.

The whole affair seems quite flat tonight, come on BBC, pick it up!!!

Its been flat for the past couple of years.

The real Tony Blair is actually appearing in the Dead Ringers sketch. (sorry I didn't know that).

We've crashed into London just in time for.... the 10pm news. Well that's just slightly pointless.

Well surprise surprise (there's no Cilla 'ere..) the previous opt-out down to South East Today land in Brighton didn't go as planned. They cut to the newsroom in Kent with a nervous Rob Smith preparing for the regional news bulletin.

Brighton? It's Gillingham isn't it? Anyway, there's a fair bit of breakup on the OB and lots of fading colour. Oh, and Eugune from BB who reeled off where he was and why he was there in typical scripted style (a bit like he was being interrogated) to a fairly innocuous first question.

Is the studio smaller than previous years? In the early 90's, it appeared onscreen to be massive.

And as to the Doctor Who thing, were they having a laugh? "Exclusive scene for Children in Need" implied to me an exclusive scene, not just a glorified preview of the first five minutes of the Christmas episode...

Well, I'm a Eurovision fan and Jordan certainly didn't have that vocal talent at the UK heats.

Possible miming tonight?

Quite amusing that everyone saying things like this keeps watching it

I haven't been watching and have no intention of doing so.

Wouldn't mind a copy of "Living Next Door to Derek", though, if anyone could drop it down from server onto a VHS.

My (far better) evening's consisted of the second EastEnders from last night; the Restoration thing from BBC2 (England) earlier in the week; and the BBC1 Day the Bombs Came from the other evening.

Quite a good evening's viewing.

The Oxford show looked amazing , easily the best of the regions.

The Bristol show looked pathetic apart from Alex Lovell - an angel surrounded by the gargoyles of west tv .

The welsh show's line up was good , the Sugababes even ditched Muntya for the evening. Pity about Josie Darby, what a div.

Agree about the presenters in London , only Fearne hasn't been irritating or put her foot in it yet. Still there's hours to go .....

Oh God - Michelle McManus on BBC Scotland. And hilariously badly out of tune.

Sample conversation in our house:
"Where's she been?"
"McDonalds"

I don't know what you're getting on the network, but it can't be worse than this.

Any opt back in disasters as predicted btw?

Clean as a whistle in the west. Most unusual.

Hahah. Wondered how they were going to compensate the Terry break dancing thing.

Well in Yorkshire there was no sound on the regional weather from Paul so Ian White had to apologise and fill and then they played a long closing music, so they were very ready for the actual opt in point!
