Oh I see. Now it's tiem for the BBC Newsreaders' proper act, in the studio. The outdoor track bit was just a lead-in. Or was it? It seems now they're just on the sofa for a chat with Terry.
Well it's safe to say Wogan and Fearne will never host Top Gear.... still it's nice having the sofas back like the 1980s, before standing up was invented.
Why do the regional opt outs finish earlier in the evening than when CIN started in the 80's?
Is it down to the fact many of the OBs & some of the BBC studios are in premises owned by 3rd parties, which have to shut early, union rules, financial reasons or a combination of all?
Remember BBC Pebble Mill used to opt out up to midnight.
Well the newsreaders' bit is now over. My verdict: a disappointing act from the BBC Newsreaders this year. I thought their Top Gear thing was a bit dull and boring to be honest. The things they've done in past years involving singing and/or dancing have been much better.

In the late 1990s I think there used to be a regional split lasting circa 11:40pm to midnight. I have CIN 1996 to 1999 inclusive on VHS, I could check my tapes some time to see.
Now Leona Lewis is singing a rather gentle song, I'm not sure of its title. I notice this has been placed after the sad appeal film about Harry and Thomas (its 2nd showing tonight); and the song is appropriate to go after such a sad appeal film. On those grounds did they deliberately get Leona to sing this song after the Harry and Thomas (Rainbows) appeal film? An interesting matter.
Its been nearly all music performances from artists this year! Usually programmes doing performances or special episodes etc, this year hasn't been as enjoyable as before.
I hate to seem rude Tumble Tower, but is there a reason why you're posting everything that's happening? It's nice that you post every now and then giving your opinion but simply stating what's happening is slightly pointless when we're all watching too
