Someone's now singing "Bring Me Sunshine". It's clever how they've managed to do those animated photographic images of Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise.

It was Aire FM's Christopher Moyles

Chris[topher] Moyles is a young fat man. The guy dancing with Morecambe and Wise was a thinner grey haired man.

Now Susan Boyle is singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Interesting this has been placed after the last appeal film, quite an appropriate song to follow that film up. Was this song deliberately placed after that film for that reason?

Nope, there was no reason at all why they showed clips from that appeal film during the song Rolling Eyes

I was just saying it was interesting Susan Boyle's "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" was placed immediately after the appeal film about the mother who had died.

Anyway now it's Team GB dancing around.

Also - noticed they addressed the elephant in the room early on and got it out of the way (Savile scandal). Very nicely done.

I've not seen how they addressed it but considering so far Children in Need hadn't been implicated at all in the scandal I'm not sure if it was necessary - and I think viewers are smart enough to recognise that Children in Need and the BBC aren't the same thing.

That said though I do wonder if the recent coverage of child abuse could actually help Children in Need bring in the donations tonight.

Susan Boyle was no Eva Cassidy during her performance.

Now for a song from Girls Aloud.

Now for a song from Girls Aloud.

Who is your favourite Girl's Aloud, Tumble Tower?
TT
Tumble Tower
I don't have a favourite, I don't even know the girls' individual names! To be honest, I don't know much about Girls Aloud.

Anyone notice that the bereavement counsellor in the appeal film earlier was none other than Julie Dawn Cole aka Veruca Salt from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?
