Maybe my post is a bit misleading. I mean that they started promoting the text number quite late into the proceedings. I'm sure last year it was mentioned from the start.

I'm pretty sure it was the same last year. They used the text on the DIY:SOS special, but it wasn't on at the start of the show. Last year I found the text number online, but after searching tonight I couldn't see it until it was displayed on TV.

Just finished watching it as I watch each year but have to say this years was total crap!
Can tell that they have budget cuts! Everything was stretched out and repeated more than normal.
Guests where doing two songs as there wasn't many guests.
