Anything could Happen?

Thanks Mike. I don't know any of Ellie Goulding's songs, indeed don't follow the singles chart these days, I hardly ever see any chart shows on TV, and I don't listen to the radio.

You could do well downloading SoundCloud or Shazam, presuming you have a smartphone.

I've only got a very basic mobile phone cheapy £20 model I bought 2 years ago to use on Vodafone PAYG; it's got a camera, radio and a couple of games on, but I don't use those features, I mostly use it for phoning, occasional texts, the alarm clock and rarely the calculator. It's not a smart phone as in iPhone or Blackberry so I cant run SoundCloud or Shazam (or any other apps for that matter) on it.

Anyway we've just had the latest total: £19,932,636. That's only the 3rd running total so far tonight.

Now for The Sarah Milican Television Programme. What exactly will this be I wonder? A chat show?

Do they not usually have the west end shows bit by now?

Nick Grimshaw is an odd choice co-presenting with Terry, what with him being a man.

Well Sarah Milican's chat show is over. A bit dull really, but then again I'm not too gone on chat shows at the best of times.

Now Shona from EastEnders is singing a song. To be honest I don't think much of her song, to many high pitched bits, it's not got much melody to it and the gospel style backing choir spoils it still further IMHO.

Sorry, I meant SoundHound. http://www.midomi.com/ uses SoundHound to recognise a song from your PC's microphone - again, you might not have one.

After that recap of fundraising events around the UK, and repeat of part of Bridge Over Troubled Water, it's now just gone midnight and Paloma Faith is singing.

I've noticed CIN is due to end tonight at 1:30am. Past years it's ended 2am, so it's finishing earlier this year. Any reason why?

Well that's a convenient natural break for me to switch off and go to bed. I'll see the rest of it on video tomorrow ... or should I now say later today (this morning after breakfast or this afternoon) - remember with the passing of midnight it's now Saturday 17 November 2012!

Since the all-knowing Tumble Tower knows everything CiN, I would like to ask has a person called Skrillex appeared on this years show?

Happy New Year!

Now Leona Lewis is singing a rather gentle song, I'm not sure of its title. I notice this has been placed after the sad appeal film about Harry and Thomas (its 2nd showing tonight); and the song is appropriate to go after such a sad appeal film. On those grounds did they deliberately get Leona to sing this song after the Harry and Thomas (Rainbows) appeal film? An interesting matter.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence and not down to careful planning of one of the BBC's biggest nights of the year.

Must say though I've given up watching Children in Need live for a few years now but usually wizz through a recording the next day. However from the previews I'd seen and Tumble Tower's running commentary here I'm not sure I'll bother tomorrow.

considering so far Children in Need hadn't been implicated at all in the scandal

Nick Grimshaw is an odd choice co-presenting with Terry, what with him being a man.

I've not watched much of Grimmer's telly work before, and I'm amazed at how good a presenter on-screen he is.

He's looked far more comfortable with Terry's rambling than Fern and Tess have, and has also done some good interviews with guest (including a disabled young man) and his chatty style put them totally at ease on live TV. I'm impressed.
