That's because Chi Chi isn't from BBC Three's version of Drag Race, she was on season 8 of the US version. Did that even air here? I know BBC Three currently has the Canadian version.

It is a shame but not sure it’s that relevant to this forum. Maybe if they’d been on the UK version.

Ah. Sorry about that guys.

I just realized my mistake here. I saw the story of her death come up on Twitter in the past hour earlier tonight. I thought she was relevant to the UK version on BBC Three. I didn't know she was featured on the US version of the show. For context; I only watched one episode of this show which was aired on BBC One from earlier in the summer. But hearing about her age when she died at age 34 is still very young. Is she the 1st death from the all of the drag queens who were shown on the UK & the US versions?

No, Sahara Davenport who appeared on Season 2 of the US version (and was the partner of Manila Luzon at the time) died in 2012. A dedication was aired for her on the first episode of All Stars 1 at the time.

I know this isn't exactly relevant for this forum, but as a big fan of the show I was gutted to read last night that Chi Chi had died. She was incredibly sweet, warm, funny and friendly and the amount of tributes that have come out since last night all say the same. She was suffering from the incurable disease scleroderma which can be very life restricting and led to other health complications, such as the kidney failure and high blood pressure. These seem to have weakened her body to the point that when she contracted pneumonia she just wasn't strong enough to fight it off.

RIP Chi Chi

Has been mentioned on UK only BBC News bulletin so guess they think it's relevant for us

Haven’t the faintest who she was but to die at a shockingly young age must be a real shock to her friends and family. Rip

The programme streams on Netflix around the globe and is regularly in the top 10 following release.
RIP Chi Chi, it is very shocking news to all fans of the show.

That explains the relevance then. I don't have Netflix and their trailers seem to be always focused on their drama shows.
