Chatroom Problems

Awfully sorry about this - but if you're not already we've moved again due to a few problems with what was our temporary server.

We are now on the DarkFire network - and I recommend you use the Andromeda.tx.us.DarkFire.Net server.

If you have any problems then please don't hesitate to PM.

Because the chatroom link at the top of the forum is currently down you'll have to use mIRC or another IRC client. Again, if you need any help then don't hesitate to PM me.

Type the following (not the items in brackets) : -

Nickname - (your nickname)

Channel - #tv_home

Real Name - (your real name)

Server name - Andromeda.tx.us.DarkFire.Net

Server port - 6667

Is anyone using the chatroom facility, whenever I go on it, there's no one there!

I can't get in on that server at all. It just says that "I am not welcome"

At least they could've got to know me first!

Bless. That's a bit rude of them.

If you're on a dial-up connection, disconnecting and then reconnecting might do the trick (they might have blacklisted the IP you are dynamically assigned on connecting, because some goon might have been an idiot on their servers when they had that IP address). Reconnecting should see you assigned a different IP address.

It might however be that they've blacklisted a load of IP addresses that belong to your ISP (unlikely but possible). If that's the case, or if you've got a static-ish IP address (cable broadband, some ADSL) then you could email them and tell them that you're not all that bad.
