I just downloaded the first episode of this on the net, its an Australian tv show, a cross i would say between HIGNFY and Brener Bird and Fourtune. Its absolutly hilarious, go to http://www.abc.com.au/tv/chaser/war/ you can watch clips there. Also full length shows avalible to download from THAT site, which has Neighbours and H&A on

Oh god, I love that show!

I download it every week, it's so hillarious and witty, especially a section in last week's ep (see here: http://idents.tv/blog/?p=208 ) Laughing

Now thats the sort of programme that would be good on either ITV4/Men & Motors or BBC3/2 or More4.

Any chance of any of the broadcasters showing it over here - as close to original TX as possible (a bit like David Letterman used to be shown the day after original US TX on ITV2) ?

Actually while we're pointing that out, I've become a bit of an addict to Media Watch on ABC http://www.abc.net.au/mediawatch . It's a sort of Watchdog for the media industry and although it largely concentrates on press (it included a clipping of Boris Johnson's lovers article from our NOTW to accompany one of their points the other week), TV regularly gets a look in. Especially this week with the Beaconsfield miners and how Australian TV went OTT. One reporter had to defend herself on air about criticism she was a bit of a diva and that Seven ran a ticker across the screen during a poignant scene of a foreign film which, yep, obscured the subtitles. This weeks is definitely worth a watch but I've been quite addicted for months!

Yeah, I've recently been watching this programme, very good it is too. Wouldn't mind something similar on primetime over here, with a cross-channel remit for television news etc.
